Two Ways to Analyze Your Email Performance
Brew offers two powerful methods to analyze your email marketing performance:
Ask Brew
Chat directly with Brew about specific emails or automations
Analyze Tab
Ask broader questions about your overall email marketing performance
Using “Ask Brew” for Email Analysis
Navigate to your emails or automations
Go to any of these sections:
- All Emails
- Campaigns
- Automations
- Transactional
You’ll already see your emails or automations displayed on the main screen.
Click the 'Ask Brew' button
Find and click the “Ask Brew” button in the bottom middle of the page.
A chat panel will appear on the right side of your screen.
Select what you want to analyze
With the chat panel open, you can now select which emails or automations you want to analyze by clicking on them in the main view.
You can select:
- Individual emails or automations
- Multiple emails or automations for comparison
- Groups that you’ve created (such as “Newsletters” for campaigns)
Click on what you want to analyze. For example, you might select two different emails to ask “why did one email perform better than the other?” or click on an entire group to analyze its collective performance.
Ask your questions
Type your questions in plain English. For example:
“Which of these emails had the highest open rate?”
“Why did the second email in this automation perform better than the first?”
“What’s causing the drop-off between emails 2 and 3 in this sequence?”
“When do my subscribers typically open my emails?”
Brew will analyze the selected emails or automations and provide insights based on your specific question.
Using the “Analyze” Tab
Navigate to the Analyze tab
Click on “Analyze” in the main navigation menu. This tab serves as both an analysis tool and a dashboard for visualizing your email performance data.
Ask broad performance questions
In the Analyze tab, you can ask broader questions about your overall email marketing performance to generate visual graphs and reports:
“Show me a graph of my average open rates in the last 3 months”
“Which day of the week gets the best engagement?”
“Compare click rates between my welcome sequence and my newsletter”
“What’s my average conversion rate across all campaigns?”
You can use @ to tag specific emails, automations, or groups in your query for more focused analysis.
Review and save visualizations
Brew will generate visual reports based on your questions. You can:
- View different chart types and data representations
- Adjust time periods and metrics
- Save valuable visualizations to your dashboard by clicking the pin icon

Saving and Sharing Insights
When you discover valuable insights or visualizations:
- Pin to Dashboard: Click the pin icon to save visualizations to your dashboard for easy reference
- Export and Share: Features to export reports as PDFs and host them on the web are coming soon
